site are welcome to submit proposals for NO projects.
These proposals are free and available to anyone
who wishes to adopt them and realize them. By
submitting your proposal, you consent to the possibility
of your idea being realized by someone else.
If you use one of these ideas, please consider
documenting your project and sending it to us
with your name and contact information so that
we can add it to the NO project archive.

Proposals:
Sky NO. Rent a searchlight. Insert
a round piece of foam core cut out with the word
NO into the front of the searchlight, so that
when turned on light is emitted only from the
cut-out word NO. Shine the searchlight on the
sky.

NO flashlight expedition. Buy
16 (number varies depending on number of people
who participate) large flashlights and insert
a round piece of foam core cut out with the word
NO into the front of each flashlight, so that
when turned on each flashlight flashes the word
NO wherever you point it. In the evening, gather
a group of 16 people and give each a flashlight.
Go out and wander through the city (or wherever
you live) pointing the flashlight at various things
as you pass by.

Project NO on outdoor walls. Make a video
of the word NO (painted or drawn on white paper)
large enough to fill the screen that lasts for
at least five minutes. Take the video out at night
and project it on the walls of abandoned buildings
or any wall that can be used as a screen.

NO answer video. Videotape a
number of people answering various questions,
from shocking to bizarre to absurd, with the word
NO. (Make sure the questions would have to be
answered with that word.) Edit the videotape so
that the questions are cut out, and all that is
left is a group of people saying NO with various
degrees of emphasis and expression depending on
the questions (now missing) you asked them.

NO airplane advertisement. Rent a small
airplane that carries ads above crowds at sporting
events etc. Make a large banner with the word
NO emblazoned on it so it is very readable even
from a distance. Have the plane carry the banner
back and forth over the city (or any other place).
(Or rent a plane that skywrites and have the plane
write a giant NO above the city [or any other
place].)
